Pitblado Law mourns the loss of our dear friend and partner, Andrew D.M. Ogaranko, Q.C. Andrew passed away unexpectedly on August 30, 2012 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Andrew was a well-respected member of the legal profession and our community, sharing his skill and time with many groups. He exuded a positive and friendly energy as well as a strong and distinguished presence. His leadership and guidance was invaluable to his colleagues and he contributed greatly to the firm. Andrew's commitment and support made him a long-term trusted advisor and friend to many clients.

Andrew was called to the Manitoba bar in 1975 and was Managing Partner of the firm from 1990-1995. Andrew's practice focused on the areas of corporate and commercial law. His particular expertise in the area of Franchise and Distribution Law helped many franchisors and franchisees from both a legal and practical perspective.

Most importantly, Andrew will be remembered as a devoted husband and father. He will be deeply missed by all of us at Pitblado Law.

Out of respect for Andrew, our offices will be closed for the afternoon of Friday, September 7, 2012.
