We are not looking for a single “type” of student, and we know great lawyers come from a wide range of backgrounds. What matters most to us are the qualities you bring to the table and how you approach the work.
Work Experience
If you have worked before, whether in an office, a restaurant, retail, construction, or anywhere else, we would like to hear about it. Experience outside of law often teaches valuable skills like teamwork, responsibility, and dealing with people.
Coachability
No one starts out knowing everything. We value students who are open to feedback, willing to ask questions, and eager to improve.
Life Experience
School is only one part of what shapes you. Tell us about experiences that have helped you grow, take on responsibility, or see the world differently.
Self-Sufficiency
Our students are given real work and real responsibility. We appreciate people who take initiative, stay organized, and are comfortable figuring things out while asking for help when needed.
Being a Good Person
This might be the most important one. We work closely together and care about maintaining a supportive, respectful environment. Kindness, integrity, and treating people well matter here.
