Profile: 

Julia is a civil litigator with a focus on administrative law proceedings, judicial review applications and Federal Court litigation. In addition, Julia has an intellectual property law practice which includes trademark and copyright registration, protection, transactions, licensing matters and litigation and disputes.

In fall 2018, she taught Copyright Law at Robson Hall and is presently a Manitoba Bar Representative for the Canadian Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Law Section. Passionate about the arts, Julia is on the board of directors of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.

Julia received her law degree from the University of Manitoba in 2016, and when called to the Bar in 2017, she received the prestigious A. Montague Israels Q.C. Prize. This is awarded by a special selection committee based on performance in all aspects of the CPLED/Bar Admission Program, including the student’s academic record, likelihood of future professional and personal accomplishments, and other interests and achievements.
