Kelsey obtained his law degree in 2009, and was called to the Bar in 2010. He joined Pitblado Law in 2013.

Prior to his career in law, he worked as a drug discovery researcher, obtaining his PhD in Chemistry from the University of British Columbia in 2008. He studied the chemistry of marine organisms, looking for new drugs to use as antibiotics and in cancer chemotherapy. He practices in a variety of areas of civil litigation, primarily estate and construction disputes. He has appeared before all levels of court in Manitoba as well as a variety of administrative tribunals.

Kelsey also advises clients on intellectual property and entertainment law issues including trade-marks, copyright, contracting and domain name disputes. This advice has been given at all stages of the process – from incorporation through to commercial dispute resolution.
