Profile: 

Practices in the areas of personal and corporate tax planning, wills and estates, succession planning and wealth planning.

Areas of focus include income splitting strategies, estate freezes, corporate reorganizations, tax deferred rollovers of assets, share exchanges, tax planning for professionals (including incorporation of professional practices), advising clients on the structuring of asset/share sales, planning and documentation of mergers and acquisitions, corporate purification strategies, preparation of shareholder and partnership agreements, utilization of insurance in buy-sell agreements, advising clients in regard to the resolution of shareholder disputes, preparation of planning instruments including tax-planned wills (including spousal and testamentary trusts), powers of attorney, alter-ego trusts, family trust indentures (including utilization of corporate beneficiary strategies), preparation and implementation of Individual Pension Plans and Retirement Compensation Arrangements, planning and advice for non-profit organizations and charities and resolution of taxation disputes with Canada Revenue Agency including the preparation and filing of Notices of Objection and appeals to the Tax Court of Canada.
