"Having the right people makes a difference "

Nalini practiced immigration and refugee law at the Federal Department of Justice in Winnipeg law for 18 years prior to joining Pitblado Law in order to do something she had always wanted to do as a lawyer: assist non-Canadians with immigration, refugee matters, and citizenship. She has also practiced in the areas of extradition and mutual legal assistance, and dealt with constitutional challenges to criminal/parole law amendments. Nalini has appeared in the Federal Court on countless immigration and refugee judicial reviews, as well as before the Federal and Manitoba Courts of Appeal and the Immigration and Refugee Board.

Nalini has presented at the Canadian Bar Association’s national annual Immigration and Citizenship conference and for the Law Society of Manitoba and Manitoba Bar Association. While at the Department of Justice, she acted as principal to several articling students and headed up the office’s pro bono project launch.
