Now in its sixth year, the Howard Morry Leadership Conference (HMLC) provides students at the University of Manitoba and University of Winnipeg with the opportunity to interact with business and community leaders. HMLC is a day dedicated to sharing stories of leadership in action. Local and national leaders are invited to speak to students about their journeys to success, and the leadership qualities and strategies that they employed along the way. They are joined by academic leaders who run tutorials designed to frame the stories told by the leaders.
The Associates of the Asper School of Business, in conjunction with Pitblado partner Howard Morry, hosted this year’s annual event on Saturday, March 23rd, 2019, at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights The more than 140 attendees took inspiration from the venue, especially the Nelson Mandela exhibit now running at the CMHR. Tutorials and workshops were led by Professor Lukas Neville and Dr. Suzanne Gagnon, the head of the new Institute for Leadership at the University of Manitoba, and stories were shared by community leader Debra Jonasson-Young, and former National Chief Phil Fontaine, in conversation with Howard Morry.
Pitblado Law is proud to support and inspire students to rise as leaders and influence change within their circles and beyond.
