We’d like to congratulate David Newman, Steve Vincent and Terry Wright on their recent retirements.
David Newman has had a long and illustrious career after being called to the bar in 1969. Senior Counsel to the Firm and former managing partner and Chair of a predecessor firm, David served as an advocate, negotiator and dispute resolver. David served as a facilitator of restorative justice processes and as an educator in the field of peace, conflict resolution, and human rights.
Steve Vincent practiced in most areas of civil litigation with emphasis in commercial, insurance and professional liability, and discipline disputes. He was regularly recognized by publications such as Lexpert and is Listed in Benchmark Canada 2020 Report as “Manitoba Litigator of the Year”.
Terry Wright re-joined Pitblado in January of 2006 after serving for many years in executive positions within the financial services industry. He was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of IGM Financial Inc. (Investors Group) and was responsible for the legal, regulatory, compliance and public policy issues concerning the Corporation and its subsidiaries.
After such successful careers, you deserve to enjoy all you have worked so hard for. Congratulations!
