Paul Hesse graduated with Great Distinction and earned law degrees in each of Canada's major legal traditions (English Canada's common law and Quebec's civil law systems) from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. Paul was also awarded Gold Medals in Economics (Honours) and Politics (Honours) upon graduation from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours). He is Past Chair of the Immigration Section of the Manitoba Bar Association.
Active in the community, Paul donates time and services to a number of community and charitable organizations. Fluently bilingual, Paul offers legal services in French and has served as the President of the Association des juristes d'expression française du Manitoba, a group committed to access to legal services in French. Paul is also conversant in German.
